We are heartbroken to report that on Saturday 6th March, The Willows Dementia Hub was once again a victim of theft. The thieves stole the tools of the joiner working voluntarily on a summerhouse, which was being built to facilitate residents welcoming family visits safely.

The value of tools stolen was approx £1100, so we are hoping to raise this figure to replace the tools and allow the joiner to carry on working. If our collection is lucky enough to exceed this amount we will give any excess funds to the Willows to further enhance the summerhouse and outdoor space. We are grateful of any donation at this difficult time.

The Willows Dementia Hub is a specialist centre providing high-quality support and care for people living with dementia in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale areas. My mother suffers with complex dementia and is living at The Willows and I understand the importance of being able to see her face to face. The summerhouse is a safe way to do this and I am so grateful that the joiner was there to help.
