COVID 19 CRISIS: SUPPORT for WOKINGHAM’s vulnerable people
HELPING THE COMMUNITY
Wokingham In Need have partnered with the Wokingham Hub to help supply food and other equipment to the Hub organisers at this difficult time.
Here is an update of what we are doing across our local community:
► Partnering with Wokingham Hub
► Working with local retailers to send in food surpluses and customer donations to the Hub
► Offering assistance to Citizens Advice with funding and equipment needed to distribute items.
► Building support groups to assist Royal Berkshire Hospital
► Organising a team of volunteers to making eye masks for patients and staff of the RBH to provide some means to enable them to sleep in day light hours where possible.
► Organising a team of volunteers to make blankets for bed and wheelchair users within the RBH who have been affected.
► Sourcing hand cream to protect nurses, doctors and general NHS staff from the constant use of sanitiser
► Maintaining support to Salvation Army for their Homeless and Vulnerable clients, providing funding to them whenever needed.
Please help us by making a donation, we will use the funds across all of these activities.
WE ARE IN THIS TOGETHER AND WE WILL BE STRONG
