Story
Founded in Warrington2019, 'Wired Amputees' (Support Group) aims to help those affected by limb-loss & limb difference in our region.
We are a community of amputee friends offering peer to peer support to our equals through inclusive, accessible activities & events of which participation can both inspire both physical and mental wellbeing, self-confidence and acceptance.
Monies raised will go to funding a calendar of events; informal social gatherings; trips out; try-out sports all designed to break down barriers and to be inspiring.
"Incarceration without recovery programming is ineffective for people who are coping with disability. It’s common sense: Isolating and loneliness don’t work. Love, inclusion, and friends do.” ~ Ryan Hamptonriends
Please be generous. 1 in 10 of us will experience limb-loss through trauma, Diabetes or Sepsis. Hopefully, you'll never need our help.
