Story

While we are unable to take to the field due to the ongoing Coronavirus restrictions, Wirksworth & Middleton Cricket Club players and supporters are donating what we would have paid for our cricket teas and refreshments to the Jigsaw Foodbank at Church in the Peak. Over the course of recent weeks Jigsaw have seen demand for their food packages more than double. All of the money we raise will help them to support vulnerable people during this difficult period.

Amazing effort everyone- £1000 raised so far! Just received a message from Jigsaw saying that they are regularly supporting 75% more households than they were 12 weeks ago, over 170 individuals in the area, so our donations are really needed and very much appreciated.

Nearly a month into the "season", no cricket, but about halfway to our fundraising target! Great effort everyone- let's keep the ball rolling, as unfortunately there are more and more people in our area needing the sort of help which the Jigsaw Foodbank provides. Spread the word. Stay well and keep fit for when we CAN get back out on the field.
