Story
Ever wondered if the Headteacher of a high-flying school could actually fly through the sky?
Well, wonder no more as I, Mary Driver, will be flying down the fastest zip line in the world and the longest in Europe-potentially reaching speeds of 100mph- on WEDNESDAY 31st OCTOBER at 12pm.
Take off will be at Penrhyn Slate Quarry, located near Bethesda in North Wales.
Why? I hear you ask! Well, I am zipping into action to raise money for a defibrillator for our school and for our local community; we raised over £700 at our summer concerts last year but need to raise more. In addition to this, our school hall sound system urgently needs replacing to ensure we can continue to produce and deliver our fantastic school shows.
Please help to give me the courage to zip through the sky at great speed for our great school by sponsoring me - every little helps!
