Dad had an accident in February 2018 he fell down just 8 steps, he suffered a spinal cord injury, he was paralysed from the neck down. He spent 13 weeks on the Yorkshire Regional Spinal Unit at Pinderfields Hospital. The care was incredible on the spinal unit for Dad as a patient, and us as a family.

After 7 weeks laid in his bed, with intensive physiotherapy and occupational therapy he was able to be tilted up slowly over a few days and he took his first few steps.

Over the next few weeks he got some movement back in his hands and arms too. The teams on the unit worked with him every day.

He is now home and continuing his rehabilitation. He does have life changing injuries, but with the hard work of all the staff and the various spinal injury charities and groups, that directly support him, he remains positive.

His four children and their partners want to raise money for those charities and groups that support Dad and the family. They are doing different events please will you support Vicki & Bently in this event, thank you. This could happen to any one of us at anytime. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
