My proposal and intentions are to provide a fast therapeutic online tool called a FamGram to help people who are, or have been abused. A FamGram is a visual and graphic map that represents a person's world and makes it come alive. This is for people who prefer not to talk or meet face to face, or are fed up being on an NHS waiting list but need help fast? I have been working with FamGrams since 2008, always with positive feedback from clients. The idea for FamGram came about when I noticed how my clients frequently mentioned how beneficial drawing up the map of their familial and social dynamics had been in understanding their concerns & issues. As a therapeutic activity, it has immeasurable capacity for creativity and change and I have been privileged to touch the lives of so many people.…so I thought, 'Why not share this with the world'? Thus, FamGram was born. The funds will be spent on a website in order to reach everyone who is hurting and needs care and support in reaching their full human potential.
