In August 2014 Colchester School of Gymnastics developed a competitive trampolining squad. Since this time the Trampoline Squad has gone from strength to strength and we have had yearly success at both regional and national level, including national gold, silver and bronze medals!

This year all 19 of our competitive squad have qualified for Regional Semi-Finals, taking place in March, and we have high hopes that some of our gymnasts will qualify to National Finals again. In addition to this we have 2 of our senior trampolinists competing in the 2018 English Championships – with more gymnasts working towards this in the coming years.

The competitive squad runs alongside pre-school and recreational classes – which are hugely popular and always fully booked. Now the time has come when we need a new trampoline and, as a club, we are starting to fundraise towards a target of £7,500 to enable this to happen.

I will be running the Colchester Half Marathon, on 25th March, for this reason!
