RWM CHARITY CHALLENGE
On the 16th August a team from Custom House, Poole will be competing in the RWM Charity Challenge across the Purbecks in order to raise money for the “Make a Wish Foundation”
We will be running for 6km ,Kayaking for 4-5km , Bike Riding for 30-40km and Climbing up to 50’ for the Vertical limit
Money raised will be going to the Make a Wish Charity
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. This year the charity is celebrating 21 years of wishgranting. Make-A-Wish was founded in the UK in June 1986 and, since then, we have granted over 4,700 wishes. At any given time, over 20,000 children in the UK are living with life-threatening conditions and our aim is to grant 21 wishes a week by the year 2010. Whether a wish is to be a princess or a policeman for a day, own the latest computer equipment, meet a favorite celebrity or just enjoy some special time away from home with their family, a wish come true brings so much to a child's life and provides memories for the family that last a lifetime.
For some of our team, especially me, this will be a truly gruelling task but to know that our efforts will help to give children with life-threatening diseases a last special wish is true inspiration .
Our efforts alone are meaningless unless we raise a large amount of money – and that’s where you come in.
Please, please, please help us to help these children and pledge what you can.
If it helps you to dig deeper, just imagine me cycling up steep hills with sweat pouring off my brow and hopefully losing a few unwanted pounds!!!
I know that we all get asked to support many various causes throughout the year but I really ask you to consider this most worthy of causes that brings some much needed joy to such young lives.
You can donate by filling out the attached form or by going to www.justgiving.com/custommadecustommade
(which is the easiest route)
Thank you for taking time to read this and I really hope you can be generous in your gifting.
Many thanks in anticipation,
Mark
