Every day in our work at Camphill Village Trust (CVT), our team of Dean, Scott, Kate and Ingo, see the difference we make as a charity to people with learning disabilities and other complex support needs.
Having an intellectual impairment doesn’t prevent you from knowing what you want from your life and how you want to live it. CVT helps the 500 people who reside within our communities to live the life they choose. We support people through supported living and established day placements, as well as our a newly developed Shared Lives scheme to have a meaningful life and where everyone has the opportunity to contribute to community living.
In the communities, including our Berith & Camphill Partnership in Stourbridge, we offer a variety of activities, from horticulture, bakery, and arts and craftwork through to work placements in our cafés and retail units. These opportunities helps to build new individual skills and empowers the person on their journey to more independent living. Whilst our support is personalised and tailored to each individual, CVT’s strength lies in our sense of co-production and citizenship, where each person is valued for the unique skills and attributes that they bring to the community in which they live.
Please support our new Bridge to Bridge via Port Team, all who work for the charity, to help raise funds for Camphill Village Trust. We will be undertaking the 34 mile, long distance run, as a relay team along the River Severn and back through to Stourbridge. It’s going to be a challenge but one that we are all up for in aid of this fantastic cause.
