The Club de Cinglés de Mont Ventoux Challenge · 20 September 2017

A cafe for homeless and vulnerably-housed people aged 25+ in the centre of Oxford. Open six days a week in the early evening. We provide a wide range of support services and advice as well as simple, nutritious food and drink. In other words, a community centre for those who have no community.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit  our JustGiving page.

This year we will be taking on the mighty Mont Ventoux, one of the most challenging Tour de France climbs, not once but three times, in one day, completing the Club de Cinglés de Mont Ventoux Challenge to join the madmen of Ventoux riding 136km with 4,443m of ascent

Mont Ventoux has hosted nine summit finishes in the Tour de - with winners including Merckx, Pantani and most recently Froome - and been featured six other times. The "Giant of Provence" stands 1911m above sea level with winds of at least 90kph recorded at the summit 240 days a year.

This is all in an effort to raise much needed funds for our charity partner within Central Oxford, The Gatehouse, which is dependent on grants and donations to provide a much needed service to people who are homeless or vulnerably housed.  You can find out more about them here http://oxfordgatehouse.org

Any donation would be greatly received.

Many thanks
