900 miles in 9 days. Paris to Bratislava.......by push bike

I made it! It wasn’t easy. In fact, it was the toughest most challenging thing I have ever done, and by some margin but, I made it.
In summary, I cycled 947 miles from Paris to Bratislava, passing through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria & Slovakia in the process. I did this my own with no support vehicle in just 9 days. It was certainly not plain sailing though. On route I had one broken spoke, one puncture, one near accident, one police pull over and one dog chase. Averaging 105 miles per day, I picked up numerous aches and pains, had very little sleep and made some great new friends who helped me in my hour of need.
I screamed, shouted and sobbed. I was lonely and in pain from the end of day 1 and hated the vast majority of the challenge, wanting to give up on more occasions than I could count. But, at the end of it all, having raised around £2500 for Cancer Research UK, a charity that is immensely close to my heart, I am proud and delighted to have done it.
I would like to thank everyone who sponsored me as without your generosity, there is no way on earth I could have seen this thing through to the end.
I will keep my just giving page open until the end of September so that anyone who has not yet got around to sponsoring or anyone who would now like to, can still do so.
Please pass on my sincere gratitude to any family or friends of yours that also sponsored me, or to anyone else you think may be interested.
One final time, thank you!
Much love
Dale
