100 miles along the Thames for clean water · 12 July 2015

Practical Action is an international development organisation that puts ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world.

Story

Simple story: Oscar said he wanted to do something this year to raise money for clean water in Africa. We live by a famous river and we can't raise money by cycling because we both love it too much so it doesn't seem right to ask for sponsorship for doing it (more related to cycling below).

But, I've never run anything near 100 miles before (max has been 50)... so I'm going to run 95 miles along the Thames, and Oscar is going to do the final 5 miles (I'll be with him).

So please sponsor him and his idea, and help get a basic human need in place for more people. Our chosen project is with practical action, uses some cool accessible technology to empower people to improve their lives themselves and is based in Turkana, North Western Kenya. Just serendipity that his hero, Chris Froome, is from Kenya :-)

Oh, and Oscar says that next year's challenge WILL be a cycling one!
