At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm running the London Marathon this year, on 26th April.
I'm running for the Alzheimer's Society. See
www.alzheimers.org.uk

In the UK, over 700,000 people have some kind of dementia.
My grandmother is one of them.   After the death of my Granddad, her mental health deteriorated dramatically and she was soon diagnosed with Alzheimer's.  She fell away at such a rate that our family could not cope, and we finally realised she needed professional care.  We've now lost her (mentally), but at least now we know she is being looked after.

I really hope you can sponsor me in helping the Alzheimer's Society do their work in helping families who have been through the pain and continued anguish that ours have been through.

Thank you
Dan
