I have decided take part in the great north run to raise money for this great cause if I can.

My Mate Matty has had so much help and support from The Christie and he decided to give back by doing this. Matty asked me and my friend Mark if we would like to join him and I was honoured he asked and jumped at the chance.

Not only to support Matty but I have always wanted to give back to Christies as it does so much for people suffering with Cancer and my family have suffered so much with the disease.

My mum suffered from breast cancer 15 years ago and she went to Oak House in Christies for 3 weeks to go through her radio therapy, this was so important to us because she was settled and took any stresses of travel out of the equation, whilst she was there she also gained new friends all suffering with Cancer and formed a strong support for one another and it really helped her get through this difficult time. 

I lost my Dad to Cancer when he was only 56, it was a real shock for me and have always wanted to do something in dedication for Him

I will also be thinking of all our beautiful and wonderful Family lost to Cancer to push me to the finish line.

Any help I will be so thankful for and thank you very much for supporting me :-)
