Story
*UPDATE* I did it! Was much harder than last year, mainly due to the heat but still managed to get round in 4 hours 2 minutes without stopping to walk once. The crowds were incredible again and probably even more people than last year because of the better weather. Think I'll probably have a year off next year though!
Thanks to everyone who came to watch me and who has sponsored me already!
I must be mad, but I will be running the London Marathon again this year!
I was fortunate enough to get a place through the ballot this year, but am keen to try and raise some money for charity again. This year I've chosen Cancer Research as almost everyone I know has been affected by this disease at some point. More than one in three people in the UK will develop cancer at some point in their lives, and one in four people will die from cancer (making it the biggest cause of death in the UK) so this really is an important cause.
Cancer Research UK are the largest single funder of cancer research in the UK , but rely overwhelmingly on donations from the general public to fund its research. They carry out world class research to improve our understanding of cancer and find out how to prevent, diagnose and treat different kinds of cancer so please give generously.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thanks,
Daniel
