Story
FINALLY - a donation page that should work (hopefully)!
Last year my sister signed me up for a half-marathon in Windsor and I balked at the idea of it. I couldn't run to the end of the street without needing an eighty day rest afterwards, but I've really taken to training - running has been a great way to clear my head and keep fit. I'm actually looking forward to the Windsor Half Marathon on October 7th at this point (almost)!
I thought it was important that I ran for something I believed in, and if I was going to find a way to donate I would do it. Rape Crisis are doing really important work in educating people about sexual violence, particularly NOW in the of high-powered politicians using terms such as "bad bedroom etiquette" (George Galloway) and "legitimate rape" (Todd Akin). They're also doing one of the most important jobs in offering support to women who have suffered/are suffering from sexual violence and really, I don't think they can be commended *enough* for their efforts. But they need the money - especially for their national helpline, which is currently unfunded - and this is where you and I come in.
PLEASE pledge what you can - everything that's raised will be donated to Rape Crisis so they can continue their important work. Central government cuts are looming over charities of every kind as we've seen over the past year. Let's give a helping hand so this is still available to the people that need it.
See you October 7th.
Daniel
