Danny and Jake cycle the length of Britain (approx. 1000 miles) · 28 July 2010

Tikva's mission is to care for the homeless, abandoned and abused Jewish children of Odessa, Ukraine. We provide them with a loving home, essential social services, an education in the environs of a revitalized Jewish community, and an opportunity for a brighter future through immigration to Israel.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

This summer we (Jacob and Danny) are cycling from Lands End which is the most southern point of England, to John Ogroats which is the most northern point of Scotland. The ride, which is essentially  the length of Britain is approximately 1000 miles, and will take us 16 days including 2 shabbatot.

We have chosen to raise money for the very worthy cause of Tikva Odessa, which provides housing, education, healthcare and a future for orphans and homeless children in Odessa, Ukraine. Tikva has a strong link with our school JFS, and Danny has just got back from a trip to the children's home in Odessa, and Jacob intends to go next year.

Tikva's amazing work can only continue with your help, so please donate as much as possible.
