Story
Hi All,
The marathon has now come and gone and I want to say thank you very much for your support and generosity. It definitely helped my over the last few miles which were far tougher than planned.
The first 13 miles went well and I reachhed the half way point in 1:46 which was on target for a glorious 3:30 finish. Anyway, it might have been the heat or too much of the free Lucozade along the way but the second half began with me feeling a little sick....then the cramp kicked in and slowed me down. With your support behind me and the atmosphere created by the runners and the people lining the roads of London, I picked my pace back up and finished in 4:12:29.
Wow, it was tough!! Looking at the photos taken along the way, I looked like I was sleep running for part of it.
Finally, thanks to your generosity, the Karen Morris Memorial Trust (KMMT) will continue to support the Leukaemia sufferers and their families and make a real difference to the ongoing challenges they face.
Until next time:
Thank you, take care and keep running!!
