We need your help to enable Chickenshed to get through this current Covid-19 crisis. We must continue to provide a safe place to belong and inclusive opportunities for thousands of vulnerable children and young people, now and in the future.

Story

Dare to dance

Your chance to make us dance wherever takes your fancy!

Maybe it’s a performance in your socially distanced garden.

But then again what about the frozen food aisle of your local supermarket?

On top of the 02? Knee deep in a nearby river?

It’s your choice! Send us your suggestions and we will pick the best dance dare every week

We will do a dance dare every week for the next 8 weeks.

Donate some money to Chickenshed, choose your location and courtesy of Michael and Bethany, the results will be filmed and posted on social media for your pleasure....

If we reach our target of £1,500 by the end of August, we will do a mega dance challenge where you may have the chance to take part - more details to come soon!

Please help Chickenshed continue its vital work by giving whatever you can and by sharing this page with your family and friends.

See below for some of the reasons we want to keep Chickenshed safe.

Thank you for anything that you can give, however small.

In 2019, Chickenshed provided support, education, mentoring and a place to belong to over 1,000 children and young people. For many, Chickenshed is their second home.

Over 60% of the children and young people we reach have experienced isolation and exclusion due to mental or physical ill-health, disability, bullying, gang pressure, being in the care system or being a young carer themselves - often a combination of these things.

These factors result in exclusion from mainstream schools, colleges, universities and social activities, adding to their personal feelings of neglect.

At Chickenshed we help them to feel accepted, nurtured and valued, empowering them to achieve more than they ever thought possible.

We give them opportunities where they would otherwise fall through the cracks. Chickenshed needs to be able to continue its vital work in order to provide a lifeline to all of these children and young people - and the thousands of other children and young people throughout London.
