'A remarkable charity caring for remarkable people' Care for Veterans (formerly The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home) is a national charity, providing high quality, nursing care and rehabilitation for disabled ex-Service personnel in an environment they can think of as their home.

Story

I plan to complete this event to help raise money and awareness for Care for Veterans, as this charity means a lot to me as an ex-serviceman. I have experienced first hand, close friends and colleagues suffering with both mental and physical injuries due to the service they gave to their country and  I feel that there is not enough  being done to fully support all those that are affected.

"It is the mission of Care for Veterans to provide a multi-disciplinary approach for the care and rehabilitation of those with Neurological and medical disabilities, predominantly for those who have served with HM Forces.”

Care for Veterans (formerly The Queen Alexandra Hospital Home) was established in 1919 to care for those soldiers returning from World War I with life-changing disabilities. For almost 100 years, they have provided long term nursing care, rehabilitation, respite and award-winning end of life care to disabled ex-Servicemen and women from the RAF, Army,
