20 years ago my Mum was diagnosed with leukaemia, she is still alive today in her 80's largely because of the excellent treatment and drugs provided as part of modern health care. 

I am so motivated by this cause that when I saw this event I said yes straight away. It combined raising money for something i believe in with a fun event. I did not think it was fair to ask for money from you without contributing substantially myself, in fact I will be giving £5000 to the charity. So I know there are hundreds of good causes but any little from you helps.
