Our names are David Wilkinson, Alex Bearpark and David Crayon, three recently graduated students from a Sport and Exercise Science degree. We all live in the Leeds area and feel now is a great time to take on a challenge which is both enjoyable to ourselves and beneficial to others.

The Challenge

We are going to cycle from Barcelona to Leeds (no, we're not crazy just enthusiastic). This will take an estimated 24 days, covering a distance of approximately 1,400 miles.  All money raised will go directly to the NSPCC, if you are interested in how your donations will be used please log on to www.nspcc.org.uk

There are many other shorter charity cycle rides (below 400miles) around Europe, some of which are pre-planned by the charities or organisers. However we felt it would be more demanding if the whole event was self organised.

A local cycling store in Otley, 'Dirt Wheels' have helped tremendously and will be tracking our progress throughout the journey.  We will try to post photo's and stories where ever we have access to the internet, all can be seen on www.dirtwheels.co.uk under the Barcelona-Leeds Charity Ride tab.
