Story

Played 15, Won 10, Lost 5

No, that's not a whole season's figures but a single day's squash results for David Hurst, aka 'The Womble', on Saturday 24 April at the Lakeside Squash Club in Wimbledon.

Playing his third Sponsored Squash-a-Thon Challenge, David played 15 challengers, one after another and without a single break, from 11.30am until 7.00pm.

He lost to young Tim Lloyd, aged 7 (well, he was playng as Great Uncle Bulgaria at the time), Vernon Stenning, Andrew Clarke and a few other 'bullies' but, in a thrilling finale and after a mere 7 hours playing, he 'nicked a victory in five' against The Printer, Jeremy Burnell.
