HELP for HEROES
Coastal tour of great britain
My name is David Tomkinson, starting on the 8th of June 2009, myself and a friend are going to ride around the coast of Britain on motorcycles using only A & B roads. In all, we plan to cover over 3500 miles in 2 weeks.
The idea came from reading a article in a motorcycle magazine, where the editor had rode along the south coast collecting for this charity ‘HELP for HEROES’. A charity for service men and women coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan who have lost limbs out there.
Surely the government should look after them I hear you ask! Well they do not have the money to provide a swimming pool and gymnasium at the Headley Court rehabilitation centre. So was born the H4H charity to fund the building for these much needed facilities.
Our goal is to raise £1 for every mile we do! So that’s £3500 in total and anything over that would be a bonus. I would be grateful for a £1 donation but if you would like to give more, that would be generous of you and very much appreciated.
