Chester Bridges Walk · 2 June 2008

We are the largest charity dedicated to kidney research in the UK. Kidney disease ruins and destroys lives. Treatments are gruelling, relentless. There is no cure. We say this isn't good enough. We will transform kidney health. Kidney disease ends here.

Story

Thank you SO SO much for looking at my fundraising page.

I am doing a sponsored walk in aid of Kidney Research UK on Sunday 6th July and want to raise as much money as I can for them.

MY STORY.... Andy's sister suffered from kidney failure in 2000, it was totally unexpected and devastating for all the family. Andy donated a kidney of his own in 2000 which was so heroic of him but he didn't care he just wanted her to be better. The kidney operation was a huge success and Tracey felt well enough to lead a normal life. After 6 months Andy was back to full health. Then in 2008 Tracey started to feel unwell again and her kidney failed. Tracey is back on dialysis 3 times a week and waiting another kidney.

My reason for doing this walk is to help this charity to fund research for a cure for kidney diseases so people hopefully will not have to suffer like Tracey has in the future. The better an understanding we have of the disease the better chance of a cure. They also provide help with people with kidney disease now in many ways.

PLEASE every penny counts, every pound!

Please sponsor me, my daughter and Andy. Thank you so much.
