Deb's Raising Awareness for #Myeloma

40 Challenges B4 40 · 25 January 2015
I was diagnosed with myeloma in 2009 and it turned our life upside down. However, after high dose chemo and a stem cell transplant in 2011, I have been lucky enough to see over 4 years of remission so far. And I hope to see a number more before a relapse - I have too much left to do in my life and with my lovely family.
I am very conscious of how lucky I am. I have seen many friends pass away from this terrible and incurable cancer and it is crucial that research is undertaken so that this cancer at the very least becomes a chronic condition rather than an incurable condition.
So I have turned my 40B440 fundraising page into one that can also support #MyelomaAwarenessWeek and hope that we can raise a few more pennies between the 21st & 28th June 2015.
Myeloma UK are an amazing charity that supports patients and families proactively whilst also funding major research into new drugs and influencing the major people in the NHS.
Thank you in advance for helping me to do something to make a difference to all those families dealing with myeloma. Please visit www.myeloma.org.uk if you would like more info on this amazing charity.
