DECHOX 2015 · 31 March 2015 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

I'm challenging myself to a DECHOX and giving up chocolate for March to raise money for lifesaving heart research.

In November 2001 my father passed away as the result of a sudden and massive heart attack. The following year my sister-in-law ran the London Marathon, raising money for the British Heart Foundation. Three years ago, I took part in DECHOX challenge for the first time. On that occasion I managed to raise £80 but I'm hoping to push the total to £200 this time.

As anyone who knows me will realise, giving up chocolate (in all its forms) is going to be no mean feat. That said, the benefits could be huge - I might lose some weight, for a start. But it's not going to be easy. That said, I have already gone two weeks without chocolate and biscuits, so I know I can do it.

Knowing that giving up the sweet stuff is going to help raise money for a very worthy cause will help me through a whole month without chocolate, so if you can, please considering sponsoring me. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a difference.

So in advance, thank you. :-)
