Story
A team from Defense Row will be attempting to run 120 miles as a relay in 24hours between 9am on Saturday 20 April 2013 and 9am on Sunday 21 April 2013. We are aiming to raise as much as possible to support the incredible work done by War Child.
We will be running in the desert at an undisclosed location in South West Asia. All of us are serving in either the Armed Forces of the US or UK and most of us have experienced war and can absolutely understand the horror and damage that it can cause. We will be running in the desert, it will be hot, hard work and probably more than a little painful but this is nothing compared to the pain and suffering faced by too many children every day.
-Just £5 / $7.50 will pay for the uniform to allow a child to go to school.
-£25 / $37.50 will pay for a volunteer teacher in a Kindergarten for a month.
-£100 / $150 can help to reunify a former child soldier with their family or set them up to live independently.
Children don't start wars.
But their homes, schools, families and communities are torn apart by conflict.
Please help us to help War Child carry on their incredible work in many countries including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, the Central African Republic, Iraq and Afghanistan.
