I have recently entered an Ironman Distance Triathlon (the shadow man triathlon in Athlone) which takes place on the 3rd of August 2014. If you don’t already know what an Ironman Distance Triathlon is it is a gruelling challenge which consists of three events.  The event starts with a 2.4 mile open water swim, a 112 mile cycle, and full distance marathon to finish!

I am aiming to raise money for Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children. NICFC helps children with cancer in Northern Ireland and their families by providing practical, emotional and financial support through its Youth & Family Programmes.

Every week 3 children in Northern Ireland are diagnosed with cancer. click the following link to watch a YouTube video explaining NICFC's brilliant work.
