Time to cut my hair · 15 December 2018

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Hello,

You may be wondering why people have been referring to me as “Scar” or “Mowgli” this is because I have been growing my hair for twenty-three months and the time has come for it to go! Although, I will miss my wispy ringlets, I am proud to say this will be for a great cause.

My chosen charity goes by name of The Little Princess Trust. They provide wigs made out of real hair, free of charge to children across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatments and other illnesses. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of fundraisers.

My intention is to donate my hair and raise as much money as possible, to this amazing charity. I have poured blood, sweat and tears into growing these luscious locks and I would really appreciate if you could make a contribution to this worthy cause which will benefit many children.

I would like to say thank you for all the positive comments and encouragement during the awkward stages of my hair growth.

I will keep everyone updated with the exact date of the official chop, which is currently planning to take place in the middle of December 2018.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope we can reach my goal of £1500.

Dilan
