I am a franchisee for Subway® stores and have been for the last 20 years. To mark this milestone anniversary in my career I wanted to take on a big challenge.  For many years I have supported the great work of Heart Research UK and my 2018 challenge will continue to raise funds for their work into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease.

I have decided to take on the highest mountain in Wales and one of the national three peaks, Mount Snowdon. It's 1,085 meters above sea level and with changeable weather conditions and plenty of challenging terrain, it will be no easy feat. Having had open surgery on my ankle it will add to the challenge for me, but not one to be defeated I am determined to take on the mountain and conquer the challenge for such a worthwhile cause. I have chosen 29 September 2018 to embark on my challenge as this coincides with World Heart Day. It feels great knowing that I'll be joining people all over the globe raising money for research into heart disease on the same day.

I am taking on this challenge with fellow Subway® franchisee Bob Moodliar, who along with me has been a big supporter of Heart Research UK for many years.
