Doc and Martin's Himalayan Rickshaw Run

Himalayan Rickshaw run · 7 September 2019
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
In another thinly veiled attempt at euthanasia, Doc and Martin venture forth in September to take on the Indian Himalayas, in particular possibly the highest motorable pass in the world at around 18,379 feet (give or take Martin’s Cuban heels), as part of the Adventurists’ top of the world Rickshaw Run. https://www.theadventurists.com/adventures/rickshaw-run-himalaya/
Having dabbled before, our vehicle of choice for this foolish escapade is the humble Auto Rickshaw, basically a glorified lawnmower but with neither cutting edge nor power, and with air temp at -29.70 C, we really wished it came with a set of doors.
Given no support, perilous roads, cliff edge drops, snowmelt
flooding, hypothermia and the very real risk of altitude sickness, we would like to announce we have trained and planned for this extensively. However we have not.
In order to cross the start line we need to raise £1000 in the next 25 days, with all of the money going to the very worthy Cool
Earth charity.. https://www.coolearth.org/
So! We hope you can help drop the flag by donating to the
giving page below, wish us well and offer advice via https://www.facebook.com/discopantsandhaircutz/
(apparently sucking a penny does not help with altitude sickness) (unless the penny is below 3000 feet).
Ciao for now...
