The Yard, a play area in Edinburgh for children with additional needs, was vandalised this week. Some of the equipment was set on
fire meaning lots of the spaces will be closed off for months to come. This is devastating news for families across Edinburgh that rely on this being the only accessible place for their families!

It’s a wonderful space for families and children to play, learn and create memories. The Yard is very close to our heart as it was one of
the first and only inclusive play spaces we can access as a family. It’s Liv ‘s favourite place in the whole world as she can run around and explore in a safe, friendly, and secure environment without judgement.

We really want to do something to help support and raise
money to fix the damage. Today, we are kicking off our ‘do5donate5’ challenge. Walk or run 5km and donate £5. Then pass it on – nominate 5 of your friends or family to do the same. Lets’ get it right across our beautiful city of Edinburgh and beyond to support this Scottish based charity, the Yard.
