Doctors of the World in Greece have been providing free medical services via Open Polyclinics across Greece for 15 years.

Lately, the clinic has been overwhelmed with vaccination requests for Greek children whose parents can’t afford their booster shots – something the agency has only ever seen in the developing world.

The President of Doctors of the World in Greece says:

“The numbers are shocking – around 20% of Greeks are living a desperate existence. The number of Greeks seeking survival at community kitchens has quadrupled; the number of homeless has tripled. We are talking about the start of a humanitarian crisis.”
