The aims of NECCR are to raise money for the continuing vital research into the causes and treatment of Childhood Cancer. Objectives are: Find the causes of childhood cancer and to develop new treatments. Increase the number of children cured of cancer. Make treatment less distressing.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

(Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.) Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity.

Dominic Halliwell is a very happy 18-month old boy from Gateshead. Treasured son, grandson and little brother.

At just 10 weeks old he was diagnosed with a very rare brain tumour (and christened on the front page of the regional Sunday newspaper as 'Spray Gun Cancer Tot' last December). More than a dozen general anaesthestics and months of chemo later and he's fighting back.

We want to raise as much as we can on TWO fronts:

To fight children's cancer by investing in research and expert staff via the North of England Children's Cancer Research (NECCR) fund but also to support the wonderful people of THE RAINBOW TRUST who provide so much care and love for families coping with a terminally ill child.

If you can't make our fundraising evening of live music (Sunday 21 September @ Sage Gateshead) and so would like to donate instead - or if you enjoyed the show and would like to pledge a little more - or if you're supporting our fight in the weeks ahead - please click and pledge as much as you can afford and help us meet our target to add to our event funds....

THANK-YOU
