Story
I received help and support from the Coventry Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (CRASAC) for almost two years. They changed my life and I know that they will continue improving the lives of countless others.
Following revelations at the University of Warwick, there will likely be a great demand for their essential services. Survivors do exist and they need this help just like I did. CRASAC offers a free and confidential helpline, one-on-one counselling, advocacy, group therapy, safe taxis for attendees who otherwise wouldn't be able to reach them, and external training and awareness for places like Warwick. Their services are needed now more than ever.
I hope that the silver lining in all of this is that more survivors who need help are made aware of CRASAC and feel able to contact them. In order for these survivors to receive the same life-changing support that I did, CRASAC needs funding.
They are a small local charity, so any donation will make a huge difference.
