This Years annual charity race at PORC is to help raise funds for Fight for sight, which is one of the charities leading the way to help find a cure for Stargardt's disease

One of our local Riders, Rhys Jenner (age 18) was diagnosed with Stargardt's 3 years ago.  This is (at present) an incurable eye disease that will eventually effect all of Rhys' central vision, thus leaving him legally blind within the next few years.

Although a rare condition, effecting 1 in 20-30,000, it is actually the most common form of juvenile blindness. Scientists do believe there will be a cure within the next 5-10 years. so every bit of money raised will help speed up the research process therefore helping Rhys and everybody else suffering with this disease.
