As you can tell from the title of my page i am dragging Sharon's ass around the Great North Run!!!  Afterall it was Sharon that got me involved with Maggies, a cause that we both feel strongly about as it offers friendly help for anyone anywhere in their cancer journey.

We started training for it a little while ago and are starting to make much more of an effort with our training.  We bought the right gear for the training which included a fresh pair of trainers each, which we promptly put on and went out in the rain!!  No poncy super white trainers!!!!!!!  As you can see from the photos they are pretty mucky!!!!  We have a great place to train which is the rising sun country park, which is almost on our door stop.  It's a great place to go to simply because there are so many tracks to run on and hills to get Sharon breathing out of her ar*e!!!!!  But better than that is the wildlife that takes your mind of the effort you are making.  On Tuesday (14th July) there was a stag in one of the fields!!!!!  We decided we should take a camera with us in case he is there again (as you can tell from the photos taken today (18th July) he has not shown up yet!

Please support me to support Maggies.

Each new Maggie’s Centre costs around £1.9 million to build and £1.1 million to set up and run for 2 years. Each existing Maggie’s Centre costs around £350,000 per year to run.

Just £30 opens the door and pays for a visit to a Maggie’s Centre, allowing us to provide information, emotional and psychological support. A donation of £50 could fund one "Caring for Someone with Cancer" or "Living with Cancer" course. £250 could provide healthy lunches for class participants for a month as part of our relaxation workshops and £350 provides tuition and materials for art classes for one month.

Just wanted to say thank you for having a look at my page, all of the team at Maggies would appreciate if you could make a donation...not only does it give Sharon and I great support for our training every penny goes to such a good cause.
