Wirral Hospice St John's provides specialist palliative care for the Wirral. It costs up to £7m a year to run the Hospice, which is at no charge to our patients. This is all thanks to the loyal support and commitment of our supporters who do so much to help raise funds for our charity's work.

Story

Myself and a few of my  anaesthetic colleagues have been getting out and about on 2 wheels, and decided to do the coast to coast ride.

The main purpose was simply having fun and getting fit, but actually, there is a cause dear to my families heart, that it became really hard not to want to support.

In March this year, my brother-in-law, Roger was diagnosed with cancer. Only days after his diagnosis he was told it was incurable.

To understand more about Roger, many of the past few years ups and downs feature in a blog written by my sister-in-law Jules....because really, this is the tip of the iceberg for Roger and Julia, and their children 6 year old son Sam and 21 month old Florrie.

This past few months have been so incredibly tough for them. One of the things that has really helped Rog is his move from hospital to Wiral Hospice St Johns. We have felt so helpless being over in Yorkshire, and are so grateful for the help, support, and holistic  care that the hospice provides.

If you can spare any money to help them in the great work they do then that would be fantastic

Thank-you

Will
