Scope is the leading charity working with children and adults with cerebral palsy.  Its aim is to help disabled people achieve equality so that they have the same human and civil rights as everyone else.  One in every 400 children born in the UK has cerebral palsy.  It can happen to anyone.  It is a physical condition that makes muscles hard to control.  It doesn't necessarily make you less intelligent, but it can make it very hard to communicate or get around by yourself.

John and Duncan will be trekking on the Great Wall of China for 6 hours every day for 5 days.  The terrain is extremely hilly with many paths only accessible by foot.  The Great Wall varies from steep inclines to thousands and thousands of steps.  Needless to say, the training regime itself is very challenging!
