Story
Hi,
in 1999 my wife Tracey was diagnosed with breast cancer she died in August 2001.
During this very difficult period the south east cancer help center was able to provide advice and support to Tracey, myself and our daughter Bethany (5 years old at the time) .
I have always had it in my mind to do something to thank the centre and in aid of breast cancer research but wanted to do something slightly different.
Unable to find something unique and knowing that my daughter has already done the race for life once already and that she intends to do it again this year (she is 12 now) i thought i needed to pull my finger out.
I've opted for a cycling event as it is one sport that i've never been involved and after starting and enjoying spin classes at the gym this seemed a good way for me go about raising money to allow the The South East Cancer to carry on it's valuable work.
The USAF Crystal Ride is an event held every year in Washington the course circum navigates the the pentagon building.
My employers are invited to participate each year so i thought this was a good opportunity to to fulfill one of my personal goals.
for information on the ride go to the link below

The aim is to complete as many laps as possible 3 minimum 5 if poss.
would like to raise a £500 and will appreciate anything you can donate
