I'm volunteering in November to go and work with a vision aid team in Ethiopia for three weeks. The Vision Aid charity organises and sends small teams of optometrists out to remote areas in developing countries where they are needed most.

Our work in Ethiopia will involve:

           Testing and dispensing glasses.

           Helping to organise treatment for the many eye conditions we will encounter.

           Training local nurses and opticians to provide eyecare in their own communities.

I think that Vision aid is a such a worthy charity which is why i'm going to put myself through the pain of THE GREAT NORTH RUN. Please pledge your support. Even a few pounds pay for a pair of glasses and give perfect sight to a person that has grown up thinking they were almost blind.
