Story
A few weeks after running last year's event it was confirmed that I had a tumour in my breast. I've been lucky as I discovered this in the early stages and the cancer hadn't spread very far. So... after two rounds of surgery, the removal of some lymph nodes, a good zapping of radiotherapy and ongoing hormone therapy I'm back to full health and ready to run!
Sadly, like many we've been touched by cancer too many times in my family but, due to the work of Cancer Research, my generation and the next stand a greater chance of beating cancer.
