Story
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page.
I was planning to trek on horseback through the Andes of Ecuador in February 09 to raise funds for World Horse Welfare (WHW), but due to the current econimic climate the trip now won't take place. I'm still committed to raising funds for the WHW and have committed to a trek challenge in 2011. (It's unlikely that WHW will run challenges in 2010 due to the financial climate). The exact destination of the 2011 trip is yet to be decided but I'll update you as soon as I know.
To those of you who have already sponsored me I will be emailing out a copy of a letter from the WHW confirming what I've said, plus making sure that you're still happy to support my efforts. If you'd like to speak to me about any of this please call me on my mobile 07807 018 457.
The WHW does amazing work and needs funds more than ever right now. Funds raised for WHW will help the charity to; Rehabilitate in the UK restoring neglected, abused and unloved horses to health and rehoming them, Train in developing countries to combat ignorance and help people care better for what is often their most important economic asset, and Campaign against the long distance transportation of live horses for slaughter and on other horse welfare issues.
I'm meeting the cost of the trip myself and all money raised will go straight to World Horse Welfare. Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It's also the most efficient way to sponsor me: World Horse Welfare gets your money faster and, if you're a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
It would be great if you could sponsor my efforts and help WHW to continue with its great and much needed work.
With love and heartfelt thanks,
Elaine
