Lieve vrienden en familie,

Steve en mijzelf reden van Cambridge naar Parijs om geld te verzamelen voor een Nationale Kanker support groep. Spijtig genoeg is de mama van Daisy in April overleden en vecht haar vader nu ook voor zijn leven. 

Dear friends and family,

Steve Healy, a close friend, and Elie will be riding their bikes from Cambridge to Paris to collect money for Macmillan Cancer Support (cancer care and support). You may know that Daisy's parents have both fought the disease for over two years now. Sadly, Christine passed away on April 10th and was able to leave her ill and tired body behind to hopefully find a better place. This year Daisy was not in Cambridge to take part in her favorite Macmillan Charity Walk 20 miles along river Cam towards the cathedral of Ely. She was all the happier that instead Elie chose Macmillan Cancer Support as his benefiting charity. (Please click 'Read more' to continue reading below.)

De volledige som gaat direkt naar Macmillan. Alle uitgaven zoals boot naar Calais, overnachtingen, voedsel, enzovoort betaal we uit eigen portemonnee. Daarom vragen we jullie vrijgevig te zijn om terminale kanker patienten een levenswaardig einde te verzorgen en hun familie leden bij te staan.

The entire sum collected will go to Macmillan. All expenses such as boat to Calais, accommodation, food,... will be paid out of our own pocket. That's why we ask you to be generous to enable Macmillan to support many more patients and relatives of those affected by cancer in the future.
