We raise money to help treat & beat heart and lung disease

Story

I am a proud Sing for Breathing leader.  The charity and participants have a special place in my heart, so I am determined to run as fast as I can to raise money to help support this wonderful community.  Read below to find out what they do:

Royal Brompton and Harefield Arts runs an innovative arts programme at Royal Brompton & Harefield NHS Foundation Trust. It is designed to improve the clinical environment and patient experience, and enhance the well-being of patients, visitors, staff and the local communities surrounding each hospital.

The department manages a permanent collection of 1,200 artworks, delivers bespoke visual arts commissions, and runs an innovative participatory arts programme, comprising music on the wards and workshops. We engage over 5,000 people each year, often participating in the arts for the first time.

In 2018, we celebrated 10 years of our pioneering Singing For Breathing programme, supporting people living with breathlessness better manage their condition through singing and vocal coaching.

About the charity

We raise money to help Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals provide world-class care to thousands of heart and lung patients each year, and to support the hospitals' pioneering work in heart and lung disease diagnosis, treatment and research.
