The Elms Water of Leith Walk · 6 June 2010

Every single day someone in Scotland desperately needs support from one of our services which cover areas including substance use, counselling & support, homelessness, mental health and specialist care. While you may never meet them, your support enhances, changes and saves lives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit The Elms JustGiving page.

The aim of this fundraising event is to raise money to provide transport for residents of The Elms. This will allow us to organise outings at our convenience without having to pre arrange transport.  Our fundraising started in July 2009 with a Strawberry Tea, Sponsored Cycle, Walk and Pyjama Day at work. Please help us reach our target by donating now.

The event will take place on Sunday 6th June from Balerno to (a total of 12 miles!). Staff and families will be taking part on the walk.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - We raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs.

So please dig deep and donate now!

The Elms is part of CrossReach - Church of Scotland Social Care Council.

The Elms provide a specialist service to older people with dementia, who can no longer live safely at home or in another residential setting. This is achieved in a safe, secure and homely environment, by knowledgeable, caring staff who promote the Service User’s wellbeing by respecting their dignity, choice and rights at all times.
