We exist to provide free, high-quality care and support for patients, their families and carers across Chester, West Cheshire and Deeside who have been diagnosed with a life limiting illness. Enhancing the quality of life, we value and need your support. Thank you

Story

'Elsie Ever After' has been created in memory of Elspeth Georgie Lyons who attended the nursery at which my daughter Loretta now attends, until she suddenly passed away at the age of 19 months. To add to this family's burden of grief, it soon became clear that few services exist to help children such as the Lyons’ elder daughter Florence, aged five, cope with such a loss.

Elspeth's family have set up their own charity called 'Elsie Ever After', to link up available bereavement services and ensure a blanket of support, regardless of location. In particular, they aim to ensure that all families in Cheshire West and Chester know where to seek support, and that funds are available for that support to be provided.

All money that I raise is to be donated to Reflect, the child bereavement team at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd which provides bereavement support to Chester and the surrounding area, and to approximately 180 children each year.
