On Sunday 29^th April at 8am I will be undertaking the not insignificant task of swimming 5km. Though not much of a way over the ground, 5km is a serious swimming challenge-100 lengths of a 50-meter pool which will probably take me over 2 hours to complete.

I’m undertaking this challenge to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research and Marie Curie cancer care: two charities whose work is very important to me as both my father and my grandmother died from cancer. The money raised will go towards lifesaving cancer research and care for people with terminal illnesses and their families.
